Robinson deal near

Mr. Irrelevant XXX, Ramzee Robinson, honored for being the 255th and final pick of the NFL draft during the annual Irrelevant Week festivities earlier this month, has agreed to terms on a three-year contract with the Detroit Lions, according to a published report.

SportsLine.com reported that Andrew Benedict, the agent for the 5-foot-10, 186-pound cornerback out of the University of Alabama, had confirmed that a contract agreement had been reached.

Benedict also said he expects Robinson to sign the contract next week.

Robinson did not immediately return phone calls asking for comment Saturday.
