MEN’S VOLLEYBALL

Orange Coast def. Hope InternationalFULLERTON — Kevin Welch had 11 kills and seven digs to help lead the Pirates to their 12th straight win, a 30-24, 30-22, 30-27 nonconference victory Thursday.

Neil Bell added 10 kills, two aces and seven digs, while Brett Lessman and Mat Knutson contributed nine kills each for the Pirates (12-1).

WOMEN’S TENNIS

Orange Coast 9, Fullerton 0COSTA MESA — The Pirates improved to 9-0 overall and 6-0 in the Orange Empire Conference after sweeping their match Thursday.

Mahtab Davatolhagh, the No. 5 singles victory, recorded the most lopsided wins, 6-1, 6-0, for OCC.

MEN’S TENNIS

Orange Coast 8, Fullerton 1FULLERTON — The Pirates won all six singles sets to roll to the Orange Empire Conference victory Thursday.

Andy Ong and Charlie Nguyen won their respective singles sets, 6-2, 6-0, then teamed for a 8-2 victory in doubles for OCC (9-2, 5-2 in conference).

BASEBALL

Fullerton 6, Orange Coast 5FULLERTON — Chris Lim hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning and finished with five RBIs in the Pirates’ Orange Empire Conference loss Thursday.

Cory Olson went two for three with two runs for Orange Coast (13-12, 4-5 in conference), which plays at Riverside Saturday at noon.
