Dry Ice melts Hot Shotz in hockey action

Behind a defense that didn’t yield a single goal and an offense that came on strong over the final two periods, Dry Ice scored a 6-0 shutout over the Hot Shotz in Norris Division action at the Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center.
Dry Ice took a 1-0 lead in the first quarter when Alexander Gomez scored off an assist from Brayden Moore. Goals by Drew Truxaw and another by Gomez, which also came off a feed from Moore, increased the lead to 3-0 through two periods.
Alex Buyan, Truxaw and Alec Dahl all scored goals in the third period, when Truxaw assisted two of those goals, and Buyan and Connor Cudeback shared an assist.
Blake Walker got the shutout behind 24 saves. Emmett Jaeger had 28 saves for the Hot Shotz.
In other Norris Division action:
Flyers 4, Stars 3
A late goal by Austin Heilman broke a tie and lifted the Flyers to the win.
Heilman and Christopher Beatty each scored twice, Ian Bast had two assists, and Aaron Cree had an assist.
Trenton Shehan and Joe Gibb each had a goal and assist, Aigne McGeady-Bruce had a goal, and Kyler Scott 21 saves for the Stars.
Breakers 9, Bears 2
The Breakers outscored the Bears 5-0 in the final period to pull away to the victory.
Chris Pabitzky led the scoring with four goals. Nolan Strout scored three goals, and Kyle Hoglun and Owen Osborne each had a goal and assists.
Ian Gibbons assisted four goals, Nicholas Zapotoczny had three assists and Jesse Mellema finished with 14 saves.
Alex Kao scored both goals for the Bears. Assists went to Aaron Maccabi and Casey Brecher.
Kings 3, Lightning 1
The Kings never trailed in defeating the Lightning.
Cooper Haar scored twice, Jake Shaylor had a goal and assist, Casey Rhodes had an assist and Ethan Higbee had 28 saves.
Weston Bechtold scored off an assist from Jordan Bonner, and Alex McCabe had 25 saves for the Lightning.
