Drew Bertoni, Pat Flannery and Ryan Knapp each shot 38, while Kyle Jones came in at 44 for the Eagles (7-2, 3-0 in league).

Estancia plays today against Ocean View at Mile Square Park.

Corona del Mar 202,NEWPORT BEACH — Camden Nicholson shot one-over-par 36 to earn medalist honors and lead the Sea Kings to their Pacific Coast League-opening win Tuesday.

Sage Hill School’s (6-2, 5-1 in league) other top three finishers were Geoffrey Grant (45), Mac Mace (50) and James Chai (50).

Tain Lee was the medalist after shooting a two-under-par 33 for St. Margaret’s (6-0 in league).

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

Corona del Mar def.MISSION VIEJO — Blaine Nielsen recorded 15 kills to lead the Sea Kings to a 25-12, 25-20, 25-21 nonleague win Tuesday.

Capistrano Valley

Jeff Carlson had 10 kills, Gus Ellis added seven kills and Brad McCoy five kills for Corona del Mar (15-1), which got 32 assists from Phil Bannan.

The Sea Kings, ranked No. 1 in CIF Southern Section Division II, will play host to Edison on Friday.

Irvine def. EstanciaIRVINE — Kyle Prevel finished with four kills and Barry Fryslie added seven assists, but the Eagles lost, 25-9, 25-15, 19-25, 25-13, in a nonleague match Tuesday.

Jacob Wachman finished with four digs for Estancia (2-7), which plays host today to Ocean View at 4:45 p.m.

BOYS’ TENNIS

Sage Hill 11, Whitney 7NEWPORT BEACH — Martin Park swept at No. 1 singles to help lead the Lightning, ranked No. 9 in CIF Division IV, to the Academy League win over No. 6-ranked Whitney at the Balboa Bay Club Racquet Club Tuesday.

Kevin Wang and Karl Fletcher, Sage Hill’s No. 3 doubles team, also swept. Whitney dropped to 7-5, 4-2 in league.

The Lightning (5-7, 5-0) plays at St. Margaret’s, ranked No. 4 in CIF Division IV, in a match for first place in the Academy League Friday.

Corona del Mar 14, Beckman 4CORONA DEL MAR — The Sea Kings swept in doubles en route to a Pacific Coast League-opening win Tuesday.

Corona del Mar improved to 8-1. The Sea Kings, ranked No. 5 in CIF Division I, had to forfeit their match against Edison on March 7 because they used freshman Charlie Corum, who had not been cleared from a transfer. Corum is now eligible, CdM Coach Tim Mang said.

BOYS’ AND GIRLS’ SWIMMING

LAGUNA BEACH — Andrew Dorne won the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 13.53 seconds, a CIF consideration time, to help lead the Sage Hill School boys to a 76-60 nonleague win over Laguna Beach Tuesday.

Ryan Barth won the 100 breaststroke in 1:12.06. Barth was also in two victorious relays. Jimmy Miller, Jake Blitzher and Beau Caillouette also contributed in the 200 freestyle relay (1:53.12), and Dorne, Miller and Caillouette were in the winning 400 free relay (3:43.55).

Dylan Conroy was the sole winner for the Sage Hill girls, who lost, 77-58. She won the 200 free in 2:18.99.
