Giants fold Cards

Ryan Morrissey and Adam Mann each hit home runs to help power the Giants past the Cardinals, 7-1, in Huntington Valley Little League Major Division action.

Taylor Refice, Bobby Fischer, Brad Dominick, Mario Duarte, Thomas Wadworth, David Baskin, Jack Bulaich, Ian Wilson and Ian Corey all had key hits and defensive plays to aide the victory.

In other Majors action

Angles 6, Dodgers 1

Angels pitchers Kyle Johnson, David Mastro and Tyler Odey pitched three strong innings, as the Angels beat the Dodgers. Closer Dillon Millar sealed the victory in the sixth inning.

Brodie Barton had two run-producing hits.

The Dodgers’ Matt Levinson came up with two big outs with bases loaded to prevent the Angels from scoring.

Angels 11, Red Sox 6

The Angels racked up 12 hits en route to defeating the Red Sox.

C.J. Stovall, Walker Thurston and Wyatt Collins each finished with two hits. Truman Bazer, Sam Cooper, Grant Horton, Devon Reese, Eric Barnes and Noah Belkin also had hits.

Thurston pitched two innings and gave up just two hits and one run. Bazer and Adam Hepburn came on in relief to seal the victory for Thurston.

The trio gave up just five hits.

Max Simon, Reed Osaki and Scott Hetrick paced the Angels on defense.
