Woman finds naked man asleep in house

Costa Mesa police are investigating an incident that led to the arrest of a Laguna Niguel man Saturday morning. The man was reportedly found sleeping naked on a couch in a Costa Mesa home in the 300 block of Rochester Street, according to police.

Michael Bonnie, 36, reportedly entered the home through an unlocked door and fell asleep on the couch, covering himself with a blanket. When the female resident woke up and allegedly found him asleep near three children who live in the home, she asked what he was doing there. Bonnie then woke up, police said, and left the home.

Police arrested him a block away on suspicion of residential burglary and indecent exposure, Police Sgt. Matt Grimmond said.

Bonnie was being held at Costa Mesa Jail on Saturday afternoon on $25,000 bail.
