FOR THE RECORD
A story Friday, “Man subdued, arrested at Costa Mesa school,” should have stated that the incident at Estancia High School took place Thursday, not Wednesday.

Costa Mesa police used a Taser to subdue a 23-year-old man attempting to enter Estancia High School on Wednesday.
Just before 1 p.m. the man — who police said may be mentally disabled — was arrested inside the school after he allegedly followed a group of students returning to campus, police said.
The students contacted the school resource officer, who said a man was following them, Lt. Clay Epperson said.
The officer attempted to stop the man by blocking his way and asking him to leave, but he walked past the officer and entered the school’s main building, police said.
As the man was about to enter an area crowded with students, the officer used his Taser, police said. The man, whose name is not being printed, was being held on suspicion of trespassing in Costa Mesa Jail on $500 bail Thursday.
