New attorney for sentencing

The sentencing of Jennifer Henderson-Deleon was postponed Friday after she asked to replace her attorney.
Michael Molfetta, who represented Henderson-Deleon during her trial in November, filed a motion asking to be released from continuing to act as her attorney, and it was granted, said Farrah Emami, spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office. Sentencing has been postponed to April 13, she said.
Henderson-Deleon was convicted of two counts of first-degree murder last year for the deaths of Tom and Jackie Hawks in 2004.
The court appointed another attorney, Jeremy Goldman, described as a “conflict attorney,” to represent Henderson-Deleon.
