Senior debuts documentary
Laguna Beach High School senior Elliott Micha will premiere his skimboard documentary, “The Next Generation,” at 7 and 8 p.m. March 6 in the Regency Laguna South Coast Cinema.
Micha has been making films and premiering them at the cinema since he was 14, when he founded Solid Skim, Inc.
World skimboard champion Bill Bryon and Victoria Skimboards owner Tex Haines will be present at the premiere, along with many of Laguna’s top skimboarders from the past and present. Tickets are $8 at the door. For more information, call (949) 497-6356.
Preschool fundraiser March 18
The 2007 Laguna Beach Presbyterian Preschool fundraiser, “An Evening in Paradise,” will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on March 18 at the Surf & Sand Resort.
The tropical-themed event will feature hors d’oeuvres and a no-host bar. Silent and live auctions will be held, with items ranging from Kobe Bryant’s framed and signed jersey to a Lake Tahoe ski cabin rental.
There will be live entertainment by the Ken Garcia Band and Jasso & Garcia.
