BRIEFLY IN PUBLIC SAFETY:’Party car’ occupants arrested early Sunday

The party was over early on Sunday morning for revelers inside a 50-foot Hummer limousine.
The limousine, with 15 to 20 people inside it, was stopped at 1:14 a.m. Sunday on Coast Highway near Center Street by Laguna Beach police because of excessive noise and seat belt violations, Det. Sgt. Darin Lenyi said.
During the stop, one occupant became unruly and was arrested on a charge of public drunkenness. Another man was held on a warrant.
A third man was arrested after he allegedly attempted to help one of the arrestees escape from a police car.
The limo was towed away by police.
