DUSTY

Dusty is a 2-year-old golden Shepherd mix, who hops around like a Mexican jumping bean when you meet him in his pen. He is eager to get out of there, because has been at the shelter since July.

The big surprise about Dusty is that when you get him out of his pen, he calms down and behaves. He walks very calmly on the leash; he is good with some other dogs, especially the females; and is best fit for an active family with older children. Dusty likes to ride in the car and knows how to sit on command. You can meet Dusty at the Orange County Humane Society, 21632 Newland St., Huntington Beach.
