Orange Coast League finals

CHINO — Estancia High seniors Bridget Gleason and Taylor West shot 10-over-par 82 and 83, respectively, to hold the top two spots Monday after the first 18 holes of the 36-hole tournament at El Prado Golf Course.

Gleason won the Golden West League title last season, while West finished seventh.

Estancia’s Lina You (86), Caroline Clements (95), Avery Williams (99), Kim Haycraft (100) and Josie Flores (106) were also among the 12 players who advanced to today’s round.

You was second at league finals last year, while Clemens was fourth.

No Costa Mesa High golfers advanced.

Sunset League finals

CHINO — Newport Harbor High freshman Ali Thomas, junior Kendall Horn and sophomore Tiffany Kim each shot six-over-par 42 Monday at El Prado Golf Course to advance today’s 18-hole final.

Thomas, Horn and Kim are among 12 who advanced from the 36-player field Monday. They’re three shots off the lead.

Sailors Lauren Draganza (44), Morgan Moody (45) and Brittney Phillips (49) did not advance.

Bolsa Grande 10, Estancia 9

COSTA MESA — The host Eagles’ last shot, which could have tied the score, missed high in this nonleague contest Monday.

Junior Tyler Wayman had five goals and sophomore Danny O’Neil three for the Eagles (1-16).
