TUESDAY
Montage Park: A woman reported that her purse had been stolen July 28 at 8:41 p.m. on the 30801 block.
Cleo Street: A transient was arrested on a petty theft charge after he allegedly stole a bottle of brandy from a supermarket at 11 a.m. on the 200 block.
Beach Street: A Laguna Beach man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at 1:44 a.m. on the 200 block.
MONDAY
Coast Highway: A 1998 BMW was reported stolen at 6:68 p.m. after it was missing from a retail center parking lot where it had been parked at 10 a.m. on the 30000 block.
Virginia Way: An injured hummingbird was taken into custody at 11:54 a.m. on the 31000 block.
South Coast Highway: A 2004 Lexus was reported stolen at 8:25 a.m. on the 400 block.
Broadway: A vehicle in an employee parking lot was reportedly broken into, and a bag, clothes and wallet stolen at midnight on the 500 block.
SUNDAY
Park Avenue: A baby deer was reported stuck in a goat fence while an adult deer stood in the middle of the road at 8:01 p.m. at Bern Court.
South Coast Highway: A restaurant manager detained three or four people who allegedly left the restaurant without paying, and subsequently the bill was paid, at 8:12 p.m. on the 400 block.
Wesley Drive: A vehicle was reported burglarized at 8:23 p.m. on the 21000 block.
Camel Point: A swimmer reported that his phone was stolen while he was in the water at 1:35 p.m. on the 31000 block.
Coast Highway: A bicyclist was rescued at Crystal Cove State Park by park rangers after the bicyclist fell, sustaining an ankle injury at 10:31 a.m. on the 8400 block.
West Street: A possible bobcat sighting was reported at 7:52 a.m. in the 31000 block.
Coast Highway: A Laguna Niguel woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at 1:11 a.m. at Emerald Bay.
Aster Street: A Costa Mesa man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after a woman reported that he had peered into her window at 12:02 a.m. on the 400 block.
SATURDAY
North Coast Highway: A man was arrested at 8:45 p.m. on suspicion of stealing food from a market on the 100 block.
FRIDAY
Forest Avenue: A gallery reported that a $600 painting had been stolen at 8 p.m. on the 300 block.
Temple Terrace: Stolen checks were reported cashed for more than $800 at 5:09 p.m. on the 1200 block.
Thousand Steps Beach: Five or six dogs — including one described as “vicious” — were reported running loose at 11:16 a.m. on the 3200 block.
Top of the World Drive: A suitcase was reported stolen the previous Sunday at 10:43 a.m. on the 28000 block.
Terrace Way: A vehicle was reported broken into and a wallet taken overnight at 8:22 a.m. on the 1000 block.
Table Rock Beach: Fireworks were reported at 5:27 a.m. on the 31000 block.
THURSDAY
South Coast Highway: Medical aid and transport to a local hospital was given to a man whose head was bleeding at a recovery center at 4:38 p.m. in the 1316 block.
Ramona Avenue: A woman reported that a man stuck his head into her window and asked what time it was at 7:10 a.m. in the 500 block.
WEDNESDAY
Hillcrest Drive: Police responded to Riddle Field, where juveniles were reportedly drinking alcohol in the stands and on the field at 7:27 p.m. in the 600 block.
Fisherman’s Cove: Two men diving with spearguns were cited on suspicion of poaching in a protected marine reserve at 6:52 p.m. in the 700 block.
