In rush, White Chargers defeat Bengals
Philip Knapp rushed for 119 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns, one coming on a pass from Daylan Harmeyer. Dylan Sneed rushed for 95 yards on 23 carries, and Grant Horton rushed for the other White Chargers touchdown and averaged 4.2 yards per carry.
Defensively, Jared Fuga, Julian Arteaga and Frank McManus led the White Chargers, who held Brea to only 64 yards of offense. Huntington’s defense also recorded a safety in the second half.

Green Chargers 29, Los Alamitos 0
The Green Chargers recorded their second straight shutout to open the season by holding the Red Griffins to negative yardage.
Trevor Borkowski scored an early touchdown for Huntington. The second score of the opening quarter was set up by a hard hit by Aaron Vargas that led to a fumble and recovery by teammate Trevor Loflin. The Green Chargers took advantage of the turnover by scoring on a Jordan Palomino run.
Other scores by Borkowski, Vargas and a field goal by Robert Rice, brought the score to 29-0 at the half.
Tyler Warren, Alan Vogelsang, Matt McKenzie, Charles Mendola and Blake Hinchliff led the defensive charge for Huntington.
Gold Chargers 12, Montebello 0 Chad Davis had a 35-yard touchdown run in the second, Nathaniel Gonzales scored on a 25-yard run in the fourth quarter to cap a 12-play, 85-yard drive, and the Gold Chargers blanked the Sharks at Montebello.
The up-front blocking by Chad Faas, Caleb Banks, Brandon Lien and Zach and Chris Scrivener, opened up holes for the Huntington rushing attack.
The Gold Chargers defense, paced by Frankie Ferrini, Austin Jenkins, Clint Jack and Stephen Marcin, limited Montebello to 45 yards of offense in posting its second shutout of the season.
Pee Wee Division
Green Chargers 27, Costa Mesa 12
Brendon Henderson rushed for two touchdowns and Ryan Loya rushed for another as Huntington overcame a score on the first play of the game by Costa Mesa to roll to the victory.
Brody Kyler had a quarterback sack in the fourth quarter to deny Costa Mesa a comeback attempt.

Gold Chargers 33, La Mirada 17
Cameron Mase and Jeremiah Flores scored two touchdowns apiece and Jared Etnyre took in a 10-yard pass from Jeremiah Flores as Huntington whipped the Matadors.
