Ready to readIn serious need of catching up on your reading? You’re not alone. Come join the Book Discussion Group at Oasis Senior Center to delve into some good reads. Books are selected from the Manuscripts Book List. The group, led by a librarian, meets from 10 a.m. to noon the third Wednesday of every month. All are welcome at this free event. Making health a priorityJoin nurse Marilyn Geller from the Orange County Health Dept. at Oasis Senior Center for a free health screening. Geller is available for assessments on the fourth Wednesday of every month. So, if you are concerned that you may be suffering from health risks such as diabetes, anemia and hearing loss, call the center and make an appointment for an evaluation. Evening outSummer is coming to an end, but Costa Mesa Senior Center wants to keep the fun alive. The center will host a ballroom dancing event complete with live music and refreshments from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. Come enjoy good food, good friends and good fun at the center. Tickets are $5.
