Diamondbacks take down Rangers
The Diamondbacks came into their weekend game against the Rangers without their starting pitcher, but it didn’t slow them down as they posted a 9-0 victory in Minor A Division play at Ocean View Little League.
Branden Williams struck out five of the nine batters he faced in the first three innings. Craig Ramsey recorded five strikeouts in the final three innings to complete the shutout.
The Diamondbacks took control of the game in the third inning when they scored five runs on eight consecutive hits by Daniel Schulze, Merchant, Weber, Alec Villalobos, Williams, Ramsey, Brent Marin and a line drive into centerfield by Roger Lemburg that produced two runs.
