Civil War Days are free

Experience history this weekend at the Huntington Beach Central Park

during the annual Civil War Days.

Actors and volunteers will reenact battles between the North and

the South, fighting it out with black-powder muskets and booming

canons.

Camps open at 10 a.m. Saturday, and the first battle will begin at

1:30 p.m., followed by a living history weapons demonstration at 2

p.m. and then a final battle at 4 p.m. Sunday will open with an 8

a.m. church service followed by battles at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Bring the whole family for this two-day event and meet General

Robert E. Lee, General Ulysses S. Grant and even President Abraham

Lincoln.

The Civil War reenactment is free and open to people of all ages.
