Girls of TNT are Western fast-pitch softball champs

There’s No Tomorrow, a Beach Cities-based 14-and-under fast-pitch
travel softball team, went undefeated in tournament play to capture
the Amateur Softball Assn. Western Nationals championship.

There’s No Tomorrow, also known as TNT.
By winning the tournament, TNT secured a berth for the upcoming
2006 Amateur Softball Assn. National Championships in Seattle, Wash.
TNT posted a 7-0 record en route to winning the Western Nationals
at the Buchanan Softball Complex in Clovis. TNT scored 42 runs and
gave up only nine runs during the six-day tournament.
Each game in the 68-team tournament was played in temperatures
ranging from 100 to 110 degrees.
TNT’s championship run was powered by the hitting, pitching and
defense of Driver, Gina Alcaraz, Angie Busenburg, Danielle Delany
(Fountain Valley High), Stephanie Mello (Newport Harbor), Jane
Messersmith (Newport Harbor), Callie Nikoletich, Stephanie Pendleton,
Marti Reed, Janae Townsend, Kristina Williamson.
TNT is coached and managed by Tim Pendleton, Dennis Delany, Kim
Nikoletich, Mike Mello and Mike Driver.
The Amateur Softball Assn. is the national governing body of
amateur softball.
