Church has simply become too big
I have lived in the Harbor Highlands and Dover Shores area of
Newport Beach since 1975. I once taught at Newport Harbor High School
and have attended church services and musical concerts at St.
Andrew’s Presbyterian Church.
I am opposed to the proposed expansion of St. Andrew’s even though
my own neighborhood would not be affected. The church is simply a
victim of its own success. I feel it has become too big for its site.
Rather than expand again, the church should move to a
nonresidential location similar to that used by Saddleback Church in
Lake Forest.
