Water district picks local to serve on board
Orange County Water District directors selected Newport Beach
resident Steve Sheldon to fill a vacancy on the board. Sheldon was
chosen May 18 to represent part of Newport Beach, Irvine and part of
Tustin.
An attorney, Sheldon’s clients have included Carl Karcher
Enterprises, St. Joseph Health Systems and the city of Garden Grove.
His work has included representing clients before cities and counties
on issues related to the California Environmental Quality Act.
Sheldon is a board member of the Corona del Mar High School
Foundation and also volunteers for Eli Home, an Anaheim nonprofit
that serves abused children and their mothers. He and his wife Janice
have four children.
Arts center sells
student rush tickets
The Orange County Performing Arts Center is offering student rush
tickets to all performances of the Eifman Ballet of St. Petersburg,
which will be at Segerstrom Hall until June 5.
Student rush ticket prices are $20 for orchestra seats and $10 for
tier seats. Tickets are available an hour before each performance. A
valid student ID is required

or visit the box office at 600 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa.
