Multi-degreed biz grads field offers
Graduates with advanced degrees in business are getting more job
offers, and companies are working harder to recruit at business
schools, according to a recent survey developed by a director at the
UC Irvine Graduate School of Management.
Randy Williams, director of career services at the school,
surveyed 57 business schools for the MBA Career Services Council.
The survey showed 84% of schools had more recruiting on campus in
fall 2004 than in fall 2003, and 93% of schools predicted the job
market in 2004-05 will be better than it was in the previous academic
year.
The average base salary for 2004 business school graduates is
$71,096, and schools reported more companies in 2004 were giving
signing bonuses than in 2003, according to experts.
