Timothy Jay DuFresne, a resident of Huntington...

Timothy Jay DuFresne, a resident of Huntington Beach and member of

Boy Scout Troop 558, recently earned his Eagle Scout Award. DuFresne

was given the Boy Scouts’ highest award at a ceremony Oct. 16 at St.

Bonaventure Catholic Church. For his Eagle Scout project, DuFresne

refurbished 200 feet of trail, cleared a creek bed and replanted a

willow tree at the Shipley Nature Center in Huntington Beach Central

Park. DuFresne is the son of Rick and Lindsay DuFresne, of Huntington

Beach, and is a junior at Marina High School ... Air Force Airman

Eric A. Kuntz, of Huntington Beach graduated from basic military

training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. During the

six weeks of training, the airman studied military customs and

courtesies, performed drill and ceremony marches and received

training in marksmanship, field exercises and human relations. By

completing basic training, Kuntz also earned credits toward an

associates degree with the Community College of the Air Force. Kuntz

is the son of Janet Wheaton of Huntington Beach, and is a 2003

graduate of Ocean View High School ... Junior Girl Scout Troop 680 of

Huntington Beach, collected food for donation to needy families at

the Second Harvest Food Bank on Saturday at an Albertsons store in

Huntington Beach.
