tampering with the door to a car at 12:07 a.m. Saturday.
* Atlanta Avenue: A man called 911 from his cell phone after his
girlfriend locked him in the bathroom in a residence in the 400 block
at 10:14 a.m. Sunday.
* Beach Boulevard: Several people reported having paid various
amounts of money to a tenant service company to have them find
residences for them, only to return to the 19000 block to discover
the offices empty and phones disconnected from Thursday to Sunday.
* Beach Boulevard: Two Cypress residents were arrested on
suspicion of identity theft and of trying to pass off counterfeited
$100 bills at the Good Guys electronics store in the 16600 block at 6 p.m. Thursday.
* Fame Circle: Bottles were reportedly thrown as a fight broke out
at a large party in the 16000 block at 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
* Huntington Street: A man reported a confrontation with a
meter-reader who’d trampled his plants that ended in the meter-reader
yelling obscenities and threatening him at 9:49 a.m. Thursday.
* Main Street: A person was arrested on suspicion of changing
prices in a store on the 100 block at 1:05 p.m. Friday.
* Newman Street: A woman reported having her hair pulled by a
co-worker after she raised her fist in the midst of a verbal
confrontation in the 8300 block at 4:22 p.m. Sunday.
* Pacific Coast Highway: A woman reported that an 18-year-old girl had assaulted her 13-year-old daughter at the Dairy Queen on the 100
block at 10:08 p.m. Saturday.
* Huntington Beach Pier: A woman reported her 19-year-old nephew
was assaulted by a homeless man when her nephew stopped to give the
man some money the previous night at 8:27 a.m. Saturday.
* Sher Lane: A woman reported that the grandfather of a
12-year-old boy who had been shot with an air gun took the gun away
from her son and his friends, who had shot the boy in the 16100 block
at 8:48 p.m. Saturday.
* Talbert Avenue and Beach Boulevard: A man reported he was
assaulted with a box cutter at a pool hall at 12:02 a.m. Saturday.
* Villa Pacific Drive: A man reportedly caught some juveniles
toilet papering his home, after which the suspects continued to drive
by and throw things at his house in the 9700 block at 1 a.m. Sunday.
* Warner Avenue: A female resident reported that her sister had
seen a male smashing windows in cars with a stick in the 6400 block
at 2:15 a.m. Sunday.
* Warner Avenue: A woman reported putting $20 into a gas pump, but
received no gas and was refused a refund on the 5900 block at 8:48
p.m. Thursday.
* Weider Street: Two park benches near a playground were reported
painted white with the words, “White Power,†“Hate†and swastikas at
6:20 p.m. Sunday.
