Support for El Toro passenger airport still flying around
Yes, the Airport Working Group should continue to pursue El Toro as
an airport. With all of the expansion and growth in Orange County, it
is time Southern Orange County shared some of the burden of air
transit. El Toro is just waiting to take off. It’s a perfect and
reasonable answer to the airport problem. Let’s keep on it. The
squeaky wheel gets results.

I believe the Airport Working Group should continue to pursue an
airport at El Toro. It’s the only alternative that makes sense. We
really don’t have a no-growth alternative as even an option, because
the known El Toro alternative is to build huge developments of
houses. So, we’re just fooling ourselves. The existing population
needs another airport, let alone all the new people who are coming
in.

The Airport Working Group is beating a dead horse. An airport at
El Toro has been defeated multiple times and will not be built. They
just need to give it up and quit wasting money.

I think El Toro should continue to fight for the Marine air base.

I definitely think we need El Toro, not only for the air traffic
but also for our military if we ever need that airport again. I think
that all our representatives should work very hard to get that
airport put back in service.

I think the Airport Working Group should continue to pursue the El
Toro Marine base as an airport.
FRANCES MORAN

Yes, the working group for the airport should continue to pursue
El Toro. We need it badly. It’s ridiculous to build more houses when
we need an airport and can put all those people to work who are
unemployed. My husband, Glenn, also has the same opinion. This was
voted for twice and voted against once. Let’s try it one more time.
