Usually during a graduation ceremony, all eyes and cameras are
pointed to the main stage in hopes of getting a glimpse of graduates.
In our case, we wait for a graduate to whoop it up in order to get
the shot. However, the best shot often comes from turning 180 degrees
and watching the crowd as they cheer on and support the graduates.
This was the case at the Newport Harbor High School graduation
Thursday, as photographer Don Leach found this moment in which
great-aunt Doris Dickey, left, and grandmother Ruth Senour, right,
hold a banner in honor of their graduate, Robin Senour.
