The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu...

The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers menu choices each day

at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree. The

selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or hot entree.

School lunches are $2 each. Here’s what’s being served this week:

TODAY

Munchable lunch salad with Yoplait Fruit yogurt or Foster Farms

corn dog, potato wedges, diced pears and choice of milk.

WEDNESDAY

*Munchable lunch salad or two pepperoni pizzatas, crisp green

salad with ranch applesauce and choice of milk.

THURSDAY

Vegetarian health sandwich or chicken patty sandwich on a bun,

celery sticks with peanut butter, Sun Maid raisins and choice of

milk.

FRIDAY

Munchable lunch salad or bean and cheese burrito, baby carrots

with ranch dip, fruit turnover and choice of milk.

MONDAY

Munchable lunch salad or Oscar Meyer all beef hot dog on a bun,

potato wedges, applesauce and choice of milk.

The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry tomatoes,

crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds, fruit

yogurt and honey-roasted peanuts. (*peanut butter on selected days)

Papa John’s Pizza is served one day a week with vegetable, fruit

and milk at each school in place of the regular menu.

MONDAY

College Park, Davis, Harbor View, Kaiser, Newport Elementary.

TUESDAY

Andersen, California, Eastbluff, Rea & Sonora.

WEDNESDAY

Mariner’s, Victoria and Wilson.

THURSDAY

Adams, Killybrooke, Newport Coast, Newport Heights and Pomona.

FRIDAY

Lincoln, Paularino, Whittier and Woodland.
