Predators pounce on Avalanche late

The Predators overcame a two-goal deficit by posting a big

third-period rally that carried them to a 7-6 victory over the

Avalanche in Wales Division play at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey

Center.

The Predators outscored the Avalanche, 3-0, in the final quarter

to overcome a 6-4 deficit.

Eric Morejon’s three goals and assist paced the Predators.

Brad Wilson scored twice with an assist and Bryan Arrieta and Ian

Livesay each scored once.

Jeff Fuzzard had 18 saves.

Jim Martin and Andrew Wade each scored twice to lead the

Avalanche. Blake Cooper and Christian Wildey each scored once and

Wildey, Martin, Travis Morse and Blake Cooper each had an assist.

Eric Grant had 14 saves.

In other Wales Division games:

Phantoms 8, Extreme 4

Monty Ruff scored three goals, Nicholas Weldon scored twice and

assisted on three other goals and Richard Rodeback had two goals and

an assist to lead the Phantoms.

Justin Pederson scored once and Andrew Eggert and Matthew Seroka

each had an assist to round out the Phantoms’ offense.

The Extreme got three goals from Kevin Lassen and one from Chris

Eaton. Evan Sebastian had an assist and Anthony Ellis had 18 saves.

Spiders 10, Wings 3

Duke Rogers’ four goals and two assists helped power the Spiders

past the Wings.

Joshua Walker scored twice with two assists, Cody Franks scored

twice, Dean Neugebauer and Josh Wright each scored once and Cory

Cunningham and Eric Freese each picked up an assist.

Rory Folsom had 13 saves.

For the Wings, Matt Korn scored once and had two assists, Cooper

Watson had a goal and assist and Kyle Betz scored once.

Thunder 6, Sabers 4

Matty Nolan scored his team’s last five goals to lift the Thunder

past the Sabers.

Timothy Hunt also scored, William DeWitt had two assists and David

Johnson, Jacob Gonzales and Ben Piontkowski each had an assist.

Matthew Duran finished with 18 saves.

Cameron Marino scored twice with an assist, Bryan Marony scored

twice, Austin Heinz and Charlie Condron each had an assist and Jacob

Renaud recorded 21 saves for the Sabers.
