Stars shine in 2-0 victory in Norris Division play

Zachary Beko posted a shutout with 25 saves and the Stars emerged
from their Norris Division encounter against the Panthers with a 2-0
victory at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.
With Beko backed by a solid defense, Jeffrey Beko and Riley Lowe
each scored goals for the Stars.
Austin Shannon had 19 saves for the Panthers.

Red Wings 7, Diablos 6
Matthew Janssen scored twice with two assists to lead a Red Wings’
attack that saw Brandon Drochner score twice with an assist, Cory
Cunningham score twice, Hunter Schmidt score once and Tov Johnson get
an assist.
Kyle Martins scored three times and added an assist for the
Diablos.
Thunder 5, Extreme 4
Jacob Gonzales’ second goal of the game came in an overtime
shootout as the Thunder outlasted the Extreme.
Michael Diaz scored twice, Michael Schober scored once, Cole
Thormodsgaard and Joshua Swafford each had an assist.
Sarah Aguayo had 10 saves.
Chris Eaton scored twice for the Extreme, Ian Arnold and Tony
McConnell scored once, Zachary Malloy, Sam Slosman and Craig Landon
each had an assist and Zack Porter had 19 saves.
Blades 6, Sharks 3
Adam Scott scored three goals as the Blades doubled up on the
Sharks.
Nick Irwin, Justin Bracamontes and Evan Zinger also scored, Tanner
Privia and Matt Korn had an assist and Matt Bodziak finished with 20
saves.
For the Sharks, Michael Feirstein scored once and had two assists,
Brandon Jones had a goal and assist, Zac Zomaya scored once and
Timothy Francis had 19 saves.
Riptide 3, Blue Thunder 2
The Riptide shut out Blue Thunder, 2-0, in the final period to
pull out the win.
Eric Jones’ goal and assist led the way. Ryan Schlerf and Evan
Sebastian also scored and Zachary Jezulin had an assist.
Badgers 8, Red Lazers 3
Austin Heinz’s scoring onslaught consisted of five consecutive
goals over a three-quarter span, and Ryan Gallegos, Nick Evans and
Jeffrey Wong each had goals to lead the Badgers.
