Blades take bite out of Badgers, 6-3

Evan Zinger netted three goals and also assisted two other scores to
power the Blades past the Badgers, 6-3, in a Howe Division match at
Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.
Nick Irwin scored two goals and Tanner Privia scored the other for
the Blades, with Adam Scott getting an assist.
Matt Bodziak recorded the win on 29 saves.
Rinald Hancock, Austin Heinz and Trevor Evans all scored for the
Badgers and Nick Evans had an assist.
Anthony Ellis finished with 31 saves.

Extreme 6, Blue Thunder 6
Chris Eaton led Extreme with four goals and Christopher Nagle
scored three times for Blue Thunder in this tie game.
Completing the Extreme’s scoring attack was Craig Landon; with a
goal and two assists; and William Richards with one goal.
Zack Porter finished with 25 saves.
In addition to Nagle’s two goals, Travis Morse, Jared Rassler and
Max Olin scored and Nagle, Troy Bundy and Michael Randolph each had
an assist.
Jacob Renaud had 10 saves.
Riptide 7, Thunder 5
Riptide scored six goals over the final two quarters to pull away.
Ryan Webber led the attack with four goals and an assist. Grant
Murchison scored once with an assist, and Eric Jones and Jordan
Conaway each scored. Casey Childers had two assists, and Conaway,
Evan Sebastian and Scott Cassidy each had one assist.
Brad Murchison had 24 saves.
The Thunder got two goals from Jacob Gonzales and one each from
Michael Diaz, Brandon Corral and Cole Thormodsgaard.
Diaz also had two assists and Ian Gipson and Michael Schober each
had one.
Sarah Aguayo had 28 saves.
Red Lazers 6, Diablos 5
The Red Lazers outscored the Diablos in an overtime shootout, 2-1,
to take the win.
George Zuniga led the Red Lazers with three goals. The Diablos’
Kyle Martins topped his team with four.
Dennis Grijalva finished with 24 saves for the Red Lazers and the
Diablos’ Brandon Kinney recorded 10.
Sharks 4, Red Wings 1
Timothy Francis recorded 29 saves and the Sharks’ defense limited
the Red Wings to a single goal, a third period score by Tov Johnson.
Corey Jones scored once and had an assist, William Alberto scored
once with an assist, single goals went to Brandon Jones and Zac
Zomaya and James McCurnin and Michael Feirstein each had an assist
for the Sharks.
