The Huntington Beach Art Center will host the Art of the Brew,

Old World Village, a replica

of a Bavarian town, sponsors its annual Oktoberfest through

Sunday. The event features food, fun, drink and an oompah-pa band

from Germany. Admission is free on Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m. and on

Friday before 7 p.m., then $10 per person after 7 p.m. Open Friday

from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. and Saturday from 6:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. --

The Golden West College

Gallery will feature Lucinda Luvaa’s Running Through History and

other works through Nov. 17. The mixed media art exhibit features

paintings, video and music from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through

by chef Greg Draxler, the Huntington Beach Art Center’s newest

The Pier Plaza Art A-Faire and Farmer’s Market will be held at the

outdoor pier plaza next to the Huntington Beach Pier, featuring

Pianist David Lewis will perform a concert titled “Hope is in the

Music” from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Central Library Cultural Center

Theater, 7111 Talbert Ave. Lewis is a composer, writer and musical

director known for directing “Oklahoma,” “Grease” and “Facets of

Broadway.” The concert will include a silent auction to benefit

Sunrise Car Cruisers has been a tradition for more than 15 years.

Classic and hot rod car collectors known as the Donut Derelicts meet

Photographer Peggy Peattie will discuss and sign “America 24/7,” a

book that showcases the best photographs of the United States from

Enjoy a day of fun in the sun playing a scramble golf tournament

to raise money for programs sponsored by the Rotary Club of

Huntington Beach at the On the Green Golf Tournament. There will be
