Beautiful 9-year-old Sylvia with her long chinchilla color hair
(silver gray) was rescued by the Community Animal Network after her
owner ordered her long-time veterinarian to “put her to sleep.”
Every day veterinarians are presented with this highly
controversial situation and moral decision to take the life of
healthy animals.
Pro-humane animal organizations and city shelters euthanize
animals for sickness, temperament and overcrowding. The term
pro-humane leads the public to believe that these groups are “no
kill,” and they are not.
“The Network” loves it when the mature adult cats get new homes;
last weekend two “senior” cats got new homes. One of the animals had
no upper teeth due to gingivitis and the other had been found half
starved living under a car in an apartment car port before rescue.
Newport Beach Animal Control Officer Jayme Rogers said, “You guys
at Fashion Island get homes for all the animals we would have had to
euthanize.”
Our “network” believes everyone has the right to find a home they
are happy in. We help as many animals as we can. Life-saving
donations and volunteers are always needed.
The Community Animal Network is a community-supported animal
organization linking people and pets through community action. See
other animals available for adoption at https://www.animalnetwork.org

p.m. on weekends. Information: (949) 759-3646, or write to the
Community Animal Network at P.O. Box 8662, Newport Beach, CA 92658.
