James Jerome Snyder Mr. James Jerome Snyder,...

James Jerome Snyder

Mr. James Jerome Snyder, a Costa Mesa resident and a Corona del

Mar High School graduate, died Wednesday in an auto accident. He was

26.

Mr. Snyder graduated from Corona del Mar High in 1995 and was the CIF Badminton Champion during his senior year.

He is survived by his parents, Denise Snyder of Newport Beach and

Javen Poyyak of Costa Mesa; his brother Denny Snyder of Costa Mesa;

and grandparents, Denny and Marge Snyder of Lake Havasu.

A countless number of friends considered Mr. Synder their best

friend, said Cara Mungo, his girlfriend.

“His magnetic personality, true character and genuine concern for

his fellow man set him aside as a very special human being, whose

passing will deeply affect the lives of those that loved him,†she

said.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at St. Mark

Presbyterian Church at 2100 Mar Vista St. in Newport Beach.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to

the Jerome Snyder Memorial Fund, 109 Via Nice, Newport Beach, CA

92663, to promote youth golf.

Thinh Thi Nguyen

A funeral service for Mrs. Thinh Thi Nguyen, a 20-year resident of

Costa Mesa, will be held today at 6:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist

Catholic Church in Costa Mesa.

Mrs. Nguyen died Sept. 11 of a cerebral herniation. She was 60.

Mrs. Nguyen is survived by her husband The Hung Nguyen; daughters

Thanh Thi, Pauline Liu, Tammy, Jackie Thau and Tina; sons Thai Cong,

Thanh Cong and Tommy; and 14 grandchildren.

Burial will be at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Huntington Beach.
