Fusion upends Surf City Sharks

Eric Newfield posted two goals and assisted a third to lead Fusion,

which was a 5-3 winner over the Surf City Sharks in an Atom Division

match played at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington

Beach.

Newfield scored his team’s final two goals and assisted a goal by

Julien Laux that preceded his two scores.

Travis Bertrand scored once with an assist and Dustin Wagers had

one goal.

Kyle Merrick had five saves.

Harry Ellis’ two goals and assist paced a Surf City Sharks

offensive attack that included a goal and assist by Sean Froelich and

an assist by Kevin Baker.

Nike OCB 95’s scoring onslaught was led by Matthew O’Donnell’s

four goals and three by Troy Loggins in a game halted by the mercy

rule.

Ryan Schlerf added two other goals and Josh Duchon and James

Andrews each scored once.

Loggins and Schlerf the team in assists with three apiece, Andrews

had two and O’Donnell and Duchon each had one.

Kristian Burkhardt and Brice Rivera scored for the Rangers.
