Most young adults look to the day they leave their parents home
for school as an exciting time. However, Erin Edmonson of Costa Mesa
is worried about finding a home for her dog by Sunday when she leaves
for school.
The family has tried finding a home on their own without any luck
and now, as the school year begins, the end of their relationship is
near.
Erin says: “I just want a good home for Kaya. I can’t find a place
to live with my dog. I told my dad I’d get her a new home by the time
I move out. And I am leaving on Sunday.”
Kaya is a great family dog. She is a Labrador mix, spayed, and 5
years old. She has been raised in an active household with lots of
kids playing with her. She loves other dogs and lives with three
cats.
Leaving home for school is costly and housing restrictions and
dormitory rules often leave a man’s best friend at risk. Parents of
the last child going off to school are usually wanting a break from
responsibilities.
“The Network” understands that many of “life’s uncertainties” can
happen and we support animal’s finding new homes they are happy in.
