Newport Harbor High senior Amy Burlingham, a two-time Parade Magazine
All-American, will play in the McDonald’s All-American girls soccer
game Sunday at Blackbaud Stadium in Charleston, S.C.
Burlingham, bound for the University of Texas, was selected from a

Association of America. She is among eight who will represent
Southern California.
As a McDonald’s All-American team member, Burlingham will compete
with the top 25 female high school senior soccer players in the
nation. The game starts at 2 p.m. PST.
“We are extremely honored that Amy will be among the eight
Southland players on the McDonald’s All-American high school soccer
team,” said Neal Ruby, president of the McDonald’s Operators’
Association of Southern California. “These great players are poised
to shape the future of soccer in this country.”
