D’backs rout White Sox

The Diamondbacks used a 13-hit attack to dominate the White Sox,

18-3, in Huntington Valley Little League Majors Division action.

Devin Huskins hit a double, singled and scored three runs, Rob

Toth doubled and singled, AJ Guerra doubled and Mike Pellegrino

tripled for the D-backs.

Tanner Phillips and Scott Martin combined to three-hit the White

Sox and struck out 12 overall.

Bradley Hansen, Travis Hanley and Jeremy Jennings each had hits

and Jordan Condrey scored twice for the White Sox.

In other games:

Pirates 12, Dodgers 1

The Pirates matched 12 hits with 12 runs in downing the Dodgers.

Nick Mazzone, Alex Talbert, Zack Michaels and Ryan Hakes each had

two hits for the Pirates while Tim Higgins tripled and Brian Schwartz

and Sam Hunt doubled.

The pitching of Mazzone and Richard Levinson limited the Dodgers

to four hits and the duo struck out 10.

Nick Gialenes had two hits and Stuart Chenier and Mike Wilson

singled for the Dodgers.

Angels 11, A’s 4

In another offensive show, the Angels got the win behind an 11-hit

effort.

Jake Augeri tripled and singled, Jullien Herrera doubled and

singled, Jake Gordon singled twice and Jake Machado tripled to lead

the Angels.

Bennett Alan had the lone A’s hit.

Diamondbacks 2, Pirates 0

Barry Luke and Devin Huskins combined to four-hit the first-place

Pirates.

Luke doubled and scored a run, Huskins singled and Luke Holler

scored for the D-backs.

Tim Higgins threw a strong game for the Pirates and held the

D-backs to just two hits.

Richard Levinson, Ricky Marin, Nick Mazzone and Alex Talbert

singled for the Pirates.

White Sox 6, Angels 5

Jimmy Miller, who had two hits in the game, delivered a game-tying

RBI triple in the sixth inning and scored the winning run on Jimmy

Miller’s single as the White Sox came from behind to win.

Jake Gordon led the Angels with two hits and a run scored.

A’s 3, Dodgers 2

Trevor Springman delivered the game-winning RBI single in the

sixth inning to lift the A’s.

Race Parmenter singled twice and scored two runs for the A’s.

Parmenter and Nick Miller combined to four-hit the Dodgers.

Max Daffron doubled for the Dodgers and Christian Slaton allowed

six hits in six innings pitched.

At Ocean View Little League:

Yankees 3, Giants 2

Catcher Deondre Moss’ tag at the plate on a Giants runner

attempting to score in the sixth inning preserved the victory for the

Yankees.

Slater Davies had an RBI triple and Ben Albert and Michael

Nakamura each singled and scored for the Yankees.

Brian Cassidy homered for the Giants.
