Estancia High freshman Marcus Sostak shot a 78 while senior teammate

Jason Cassidy fired an 80 on the par-72 Canyon Country Club Tuesday

at the CIF Southern Section boys golf individual finals.

The two Eagle golfers missed the cut, listed at 72, which takes

the top 22 golfers to the CIF-SCGA finals Tuesday at the SCGA Golf

Course in Murrieta.

Cassidy birdied two holes and was 1-under at one point in his

round, while Sostak had several birdie opportunities, Eagles Coach

Art Perry said.

“I’m happy with the whole year,” Perry said. “They were excited

just to be here.”

Cerritos Gahr’s Garrett Sapp shot 66 for the lowest round among 80

golfers Tuesday.
