The Huntington Beach Host Lions Club will hold a gigantic garage

sale from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Ocean View High School parking lot

The Huntington Beach Art Center will host a live benefit auction

from 7 to 9 p.m. at 538 Main St. General admission is $35, or $30 for

Huntington Beach Art Center members. To attend the preview party at 6

p.m. and the auction, general admission is $75 or $70 for members.

The Huntington Beach Art League will meet at 7 p.m. in Rodgers

Host Lions Club will host a pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. at

Lake Park to celebrate Mother’s Day. A $3 donation is requested per

Huntington Dog Beach will hold its monthly beach cleanup from 7:30

a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Free quarters for parking, coffee and doughnuts,

pizza, sodas and doggie toys will be provided. All cleaning supplies

FISH-Harbor Area, Inc. will hold its fifth annual homeless/hunger

prevention charity golf classic at the SeaCliff Country Club, with

registration starting at 8:30 a.m. SeaCliff offers a challenging

course and beautiful grounds. Each golfer will receive a gift, a

continental breakfast, barbecue lunch and a banquet dinner from 4 to

Huntington Beach Tomorrow will hold its annual fund-raiser from 6

The Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce will host the “Surf City

Connection,” its semi-annual Business 2 Business Expo, at the Hilton

Waterfront Pavilion from 4 to 6:30 p.m. This exposition will feature

more than 50 vendor exhibits, a variety of demonstrations and $4,500

CIVIC GROUPS

The Point-to-Point

chapter of the American Needlepoint Guild meets on the fourth

Wednesday of each month (except July and December) at Rodgers Senior

Center at 17th Street and Orange Avenue. Hospitality is at 6:30 p.m.,

followed by a general meeting at 7 p.m. The Guild promotes interest

and provides education in needle arts, particularly needlepoint, and

is open to all who share in the joy of needlepoint. Information:

The Kiwanis Club of

Huntington Beach Surf City Breakfast Club has just formed and will

meet every Tuesday morning at 7 a.m. at the Coco’s on Beach Boulevard

and Garfield Avenue. The club is already 25 members strong and

The Huntington Beach Host Lions Club meets at 7 p.m. every first

and third Thursday of the month at Meadowlark Golf Course Club House,
