Purple Pulverizers blank Pirates

The Purple Pulverizers continued their winning form earlier this week
as they routed the Pirates, 11-0, in a Huntington Beach Girls
Softball 10-and-Under Division game at Circle View Elementary School.
Rachel Gaber, Jamie Sullivan and Sara Wilkinson combined on the
mound to no-hit the Pirates with Gaber and Sullivan each recording
four strikeouts.
Sullivan’s sacrifice bunt set the tone as the Purple Pulverizers’
offensive outburst included two hits and three RBI by Erin Burke, two
RBI from Nikki Dressler and Gaber and Amanda Peterson combined for
two hits and an RBI.

Killer Attitude 6, Garden Grove 5
Killer Attitude jumped out to an early 5-0 lead but needed
Catherine Wakeman’s RBI single in the bottom of the sixth to break a
tie and lift the team to victory.
Ally Nunez, Alexa Rowsey and Heather Phillips also drove in runs.
Killer Attitude 3, Stampede 2
Heather Phillips’ bases loaded single in the bottom of the sixth
inning scored Katherine Kent and Ally Nunez to bring Killer Attitude
back from a 2-1 deficit and get the win over their Huntington Beach
rival.
Relief pitcher Catherine Wakeman shut down the Stampede in the
final inning to preserve the victory.
