TUESDAY

* Glenneyre Street: Police arrested a suspect on a $402

drunk-in-public warrant in the Circle K parking lot at about 6:20

p.m. An officer questioned the man because his T-shirt was nearly

torn off. The officer ran a check on his identification and

discovered the warrant.

MONDAY

* Pinecrest Drive: A $4,300 mountain bike was reportedly stolen

from a male victim’s garage. He discovered his black 27-speed

Ellsworth Truth missing at 8:15 p.m.

* South Coast Highway: Employees at a retirement community in the

2100 block are fearful that someone who was recently fired may return

to cause them harm. After being fired, the man reportedly said,

“You’re gonna get yours. You’ll see.” The threat was reported at 3

p.m.

SUNDAY

* Laguna Canyon Road: What started as a case of road rage turned

into a reported assault with a deadly weapon in the middle of

backed-up traffic. After one of the drivers felt that he had been cut

off by another driver, both cars stopped in the 1700 block. The

suspect, a 25-year-old male, is accused of pulling a large piece of

wood from his car and swinging it at the other driver. An off-duty

police officer, sitting in traffic witnessing the incident,

reportedly apprehended the suspect before he could make any contact

with his weapon. He was placed under arrest on $50,000 bail at 6:13

p.m.

* South Coast Highway: After reaching across the counter at Jack

in the Box and throwing handfuls of ketchup packets on the floor, a

male suspect was arrested on a $7,500 warrant for possession of

marijuana. An employee reported the incident at 2:44 a.m.

SATURDAY

* Forest Avenue: Police are investigating a 9:15 p.m. report of a

stolen $400 check written to a business in the 200 block.

* South Coast Highway: The owner of a business in the 1000 block

arrived at his shop after the alarm went off and discovered a

burglary had occurred. He called the police at 12:43 a.m. The crime

is under investigation.

MARCH 7

* Canyon Acres: A victim of forgery accused his daughter’s

boyfriend of stealing one of his checks and writing it out for $140.

The victim reported the incident, which is under investigation, at

4:43 p.m.

* La Brea Street: A three-car accident resulted in one driver

complaining of neck pains on the corner of La Brea and North Coast

Highway at 5:38 p.m.

* South Coast Highway: Police responded to a report that someone

was apparently having a seizure in the 1500 block at 3:15 a.m. When

they arrived, they found a man who said, “I wet my pants and want to

go to the hospital.” Upon running the man’s identification, police

discovered he had a $7,500 warrant for jaywalking and possession of

alcohol, and then arrested him.

* North Coast Highway: One man punched another man in the face

and fled at about 7:40 a.m. in the 100 block. The victim, who

reported the battery, said he knew the suspect and didn’t like him.

MARCH 6

* Sunset Avenue: Police are investigating a man’s claim that 30

false checks have been written on his account. He reported his

discovery at 2:39 p.m.

MARCH 5

* Glenneyre Street: A woman claimed her purse was stolen at the

Neighborhood Congregational Church at 8:24 p.m. She claimed she left

her purse there earlier in the day and returned to find it missing.

She lost credit cards, her keys, makeup and $50.

* Eagle Rock Way: The left shoulder, left arm, back and neck or a

pedestrian were injured when he was struck by a car at the corner of

Eagle Rock Way and South Coast Highway at about 1:50 p.m. The

pedestrian was reportedly at fault.
