Lions fall, 2-1

ORANGE -- Vanguard University lost a 2-1 nonconference baseball

decision to Chapman University Friday at Hart Park as Chapman capped

an 11-hit attack with a run in the bottom of the ninth inning when

Chris Van Camp singled home Shaun Donahoe, who led off with a double.

Vanguard’s only run came in the eighth when Matt Tisthammer walked

and scored on Joe Carnahan’s double.

Vanguard falls to 10-7. Chapman improves to 6-4.
