Brown’s 28 paces OCC

FULLERTON -- Orange Coast College’s men’s basketball team, behind the

28-point scoring of Lanier Brown, improve to 20-12, 8-6 in the Orange

Empire Conference with a 76-73 victory over the Hornets Friday night.

Brown nailed 10 of 19 from the field, including 3 of 5 from

three-point country, and hit 6 of 10 at the line. The Bucs hit 11 of

20 three-point attempts.

Aaron Bobik and Stephon Seales added 17 and 12 points,

respectively in a game which saw the lead change hands 1 times and

the score tied nine times in the second half.

The Pirates took the lead for good at 67-65 with 4:02 left on

Bobik’s layup.

Fullerton’s Donyare Mayfield had a shot at the buzzer, but the

three-point attempt missed.

Fullerton drops to 18-14, 5-9.
