Vanguard men roll

James Hartman scored 31 points to lead Vanguard University to an
89-76 victory over Hope International at the Pit on the winner’s
campus Saturday night in Golden State Athletic Conference men’s
basketball action.
Hartman’s 31 points was a season-high for the sophomore transfer,
who was backed up by the scoring of Tim Burnette (13), Josh Pierson
(12) and Ryan Moreau 10).
The Lions improved to 7-20, 3-13 in the GSAC. Hope International,
still seeking its first win in 28 starts, fell to 0-16 in the GSAC.
Jon Stoa led Hope’s game with 31 points.
