CdM tunes up for playoffs with victory

Corona del Mar High’s girls water polo team improved to 20-5 with a

nonleague victory at El Toro High Friday, pasting the Chargers, 15-8,

as the Sea Kings tuned up for next week’s first round of the CIF

Playoffs.

Brittney Bowlus led the way with four goals, and Danielle Carlson

and Christina Hewko each scored three goals as CdM posted five goals

in each of the first three quarters before easing up.

Carlson had three assists and three steals, and goalie Brittany

Fullen had 10 saves.

Vivian Liao, Katya Eadington and Camile Hewko each had two

assists.
