Little Munchkin

Little Munchkin is a 4-month-old female cat scheduled to have eye

surgery on Thursday. She’ll be available for adoption this weekend.

Six more kittens, who were abandoned by a private rescuer at a

veterinarian hospital due to the high boarding fee, will also be

available, said DiAnna Pfaff-Martin, founder of the Community Animal

Network. The kittens, now 8 months old, were kept at the hospital for

many months and were going to be euthanized until a technician at the

hospital contacted the network for help.

“It is my very strong opinion that veterinarians could offer so

much to the rescue community by giving a limited number of ‘free’

boarding cages to a rescue group and lower the prices of spaying and

neutering to help control pet overpopulation,” Martin said.
