Morton and Endrikat to play at All-American Championships

UC Irvine junior Jon Endrikat and sophomore Brian Morton will get
an early start to their tennis season by taking part in the
Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American Championships in
Chattanooga, Tenn.
Morton and Endrikat, who recently teamed up to win the
CHOC/Padrinos Charity tournament, have already qualified for the main
draw in doubles and will go through the qualifying tournament as
singles. Qualifying for the singles main draw begins Tuesday with the
main draw of the tournament playing Thursday through Oct. 13 for both
singles and doubles.
The doubles team of Morton and Endrikat have been ranked 23rd in
the country by the Omni Hotels Collegiate Tennis rankings. The
Anteaters’ duo finished last season with a 14-8 record as a team and
earned All-Big West first team honors as a doubles team. They were
ranked 46th in the country at the end of last season.
Morton and Endrikat defeated UCI alumns Carsten Hoffman and Art
Hernandez in the finals in the finals of the CHOC/Padrinos Charity
tournament.
