Alexander Zepeda
Alexander Zepeda, died on Aug. 11. He was 37. He lived in Laguna
Beach for 29 years and was a musician.
Mr. Zepeda grew up in Laguna. He attended Top of the World
Elementary, Thurston Middle School and Laguna Beach High School where
he participated in sports, music and theater.
He received scholarships to attend Berklee College of Music in
Boston and also took classes at Juliard.
He played with many accomplished musicians nationwide.
Mr. Zepeda is survived by his mother, Mariana Redwine; father,
Rodolfo; sister Isa Zepeda; brother Oliver; girlfriend Mary Eller;
and sister-in-law Josephine Chavira.
Memorial services will be 6 p.m. Sunday at South Aliso Beach.
There will be a sunset paddle out at 7:20 p.m.
Linda B. Mason
Linda B. Mason died Aug. 19. She was 59.
Mrs. Mason was a devoted wife and mother. She had a passion for
the Canyon Club where she served in many capacities including
chairperson, trustee and volunteer.
She is survived by her husband Don; children Tom Welsh, Jeff
(Paula) Welsh and Brittany (Richard) Mason; and her six
grandchildren, Warren, Kevin, Lindsay, Jonathan, Ashton and Finlay.
A memorial service will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the
Canyon Club in Laguna Beach, (949) 497-1823. In lieu of flowers the
family requests donations be made to either Canyon Club, 20456 Laguna
Canyon Road, Laguna Beach, Calif. 92651 or the American Cancer
Society, 1940 E. Deere Ave. Suite 100, Santa Ana, Calif. 92705 in
memory of Linda Mason.
