Aug. 13
San Nicholas Court: A Laguna resident reported that his
ex-girlfriend had left more than 100 phone messages on his home
machine and cell phone in the 400 block at 10:03 p.m. She also
refused to return a vehicle he had lent to her.
Aug. 14
Morningside Drive: A Laguna resident reported that he believed
that someone broke into his home and turned the lights on and off in
the 1300 block at 5:34 a.m.
Broadway: Officers responded to a fight at the bus depot in the
300 block at 7:55 a.m. They arrested a 37-year-old Santa Ana man for
battery after he punched a bus driver who barred him from riding the
bus.
Myrtle Street: A resident reported that an unknown suspect entered
into the home through an unlocked door and stole sunglasses and
change from an ashtray in the 300 block at 1:16 p.m. Total value
$330.
Marilyn Drive: A resident reported that the neighbor’s dog was
stuck in a tree in the 30000 block at 8:33 p.m.
Aug. 15
Sea Cliff Drive: A resident reported that a burglary took place
while they were out of town in the 31000 block at 8 p.m. Entry was
gained through an unlocked rear door. A suitcase, eyedrops,
anti-inflammatories, Tylenol with codeine and a hygiene kit were
stolen. Total value $735.
South Coast Highway: A 21-year-old Laguna Beach man was arrested
for fraud and four violations of obtaining merchandise with a stolen
credit card in the 600 block at 6:59 p.m.
Pala Way: Officers responded to a disturbance where they observed,
through an open window, someone holding a three-foot marijuana bong
in the 2000 block at 11:05 p.m. .
Aug. 16
Legion Street/Ramona: Officers found a man being punched while
held in a headlock next to a taxicab near the intersection at 1:55
a.m.
Fourth Street/Virginia: A resident reported that an unknown
suspect punctured two tires on his Ford Bronco near the intersection
at 7:53 a.m.
Bounty Way: A resident reported that her home was burglarized and
ransacked in the 1300 block at 5:07 p.m.
Laguna Canyon Road/Canyon Acres: A Tustin man was arrested on a
warrant for lewd conduct after an officer observed him make a traffic
violation near the intersection at 8:52 p.m.
Saturday
South Coast Highway: A car burglary was reported in the 1500 block
at 10:43 a.m. The front passenger window was smashed to gain entry
and a tote bag with the owner’s ID was stolen.
Kendall Drive: A resident reported a trespassing in the 700 block
at 1:30 p.m. When she returned home, she found two doors were
unlocked and empty soda cans and a bowl of melted chocolate ice
cream. Nothing was stolen.
Sunday
Forest Avenue/Ocean Avenue: Police responded to a 911 call of a
man running in and out of traffic near the intersection at 12:09 a.m.
Brooks Street Beach: Officers responded to a call of a man
climbing on a lifeguard tower at 11:35 a.m. Officers arrested a
39-year-old Los Angeles man on suspicion of being under the influence
of a controlled substance.
Sunday
Laguna Canyon Road: A baby goat was reported running in the middle
of the road by in the 20000 block at 12:09 a.m.
Mountain Street Beach: An officer on foot patrol found four men
engaged in a lewd act at 1:11 a.m. The men were cited for lewd
conduct.
Park Avenue/Blumont Street: Officers cited eight juveniles on
curfew violation after a resident heard a traffic collision near the
intersection at 4:10 a.m.
St. Ann’s Drive: A mountain bike was reported stolen from a shed
in the 200 block at 2:37 p.m.
Tuesday
Barracuda Way: A neighbor reported that a parent was allowing her
toddler to play in the street in the 700 block at 1:20 p.m.
Forest Avenue: A man was reported passed out in the public
restroom in the 200 block at 4:20 p.m.
Ocean Avenue: Officers responded to a call that a man had struck a
17-year-old boy and was pulling his pants down in the street in the
200 block at 4:08 p.m.
Tia Juana: A Laguna resident reported that his neighbors threw
eggs and damaged his truck in the 900 block at 9:08 p.m.
Laguna Canyon Road/El Toro Road: A 48-year-old Irvine man was
arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and causing
injury.
