Elderly woman attacked in home
Police are looking for a man who broke into an elderly woman’s
home and attacked her late Tuesday night.
At about 11:30 p.m. a woman in her 70s dialed 911 after hearing noises inside her home on Cambay Lane. As she was on the phone a man
grabbed her from behind, police said. The two struggled before the
intruder fled, said Huntington Beach Police Department Sgt. Gary
Meza.
The woman dialed 911 again after her attacker left. Police dogs
managed to pick up a sent, but lost it, Meza said.
The woman was not seriously injured during the attack, but left
with some bruises. She was treated by paramedics and released. She
could only describe her attacker as having a dark complexion.
Police believe this attack may be connected with the Long Beach,
Belmont Shore rapist. Anyone with information about this attack is
asked to call the Huntington Beach Police Detective Bureau at (714)
375-5066.
