A Laguna man was arrested after allegedly injuring a member of an
anti-abortion group who was reportedly chalking up Downtown
sidewalks.
When the 30-year old Laguna resident walked by the group in the
200 block of Ocean Avenue, he allegedly become so enraged that he
kicked a bucket of chalk and cut the thumb of a 19-year-old
protester, said Sgt. Greg Bartz.
The passerby was arrested for battery. The group, Cradles of Love,
was not cited and city crews spent Tuesday cleaning up the chalk
messages, said Bartz. No permanent damage was reported.
